Is it money for some it might be. Is it health? Again for some it might be. I spent a great deal of my life caring for people who have a lot of money and not much health. They have each told me that without health there is not true prosperity. So where does real prosperity start? It starts
with a grateful heart. What is a truly grateful heart, it is taking the smallest things in our life and being grateful for them. This s true humility. When I get up in the morning am I truly grateful for the sunrise? Am I grateful I came through another night? Am I truly grateful for God walking with me through another day with me? So many questions but to find the answers we must look deep within our hearts.
The first step for me is always being grateful for what I have right here and now. I am grateful to be alive. I am grateful for my roommate Sophie, the big black cat who lives with me and is a constant source of love and affection. To relish our blessings that are within the now. They are not things we wish for but things that are already ours. I am grateful for being abundantly healthy. I am grateful for the age I am now I do not want to be younger or older I just want to be. I am grateful I feel beautiful today. I am grateful that I have this wonderful computer that I can write on daily. I am grateful for my apartment. I am grateful it is running over with everything I can ever need. I am grateful for my Ebay business, not only does it bring me prosperity in the form of money everyday but it brings me a sense of purpose.
When I wake up in the morning I am grateful as I snuggle in for my bed and a good nights sleep. I am grateful when I go to bed at night for the good nights sleep that is to come. I am so grateful for my magnetic mattress and my pillow top. I am grateful I have a captions bed, with lots of soft bedding, sheets, that keep me warm. I am grateful it is just the right temperature in here each day. I am grateful for the soft night clothes. As I think about my day I release all I no longer need to make room for the new. I am so grateful for all that I had today and all that will come tomorrow. I express gratitude for my daughters, my friends, my church, my animal friends.
I let go to God all that does not compliment my grateful heart. I let go of all feelings of guilt, lack of self respect, self hatred, criticism of self. When I discover things that are not too flattering or how I would like to see myself, I give thanks and am grateful that this discovery allows me to heal. I am able to turn these things over to God as I understand him. Today I am so grateful for self-awareness so that I can grow spiritually. As I look at these things in my life I am truly grateful and I am prospered.
